Today is a special day for our family! Our foundation is being poured at our new home. I went by thinking that I'd see a cement truck and a few guys out there working on it.
What a surprise to see cements trucks lined up all along the street!
Parker thought this was "awesome". He enjoyed going out there with daddy and watching the trucks and the cement being poured.
For our family this day is special because it's not just about a new house, but about building a strong foundation for our family and having a Christian environment to raise our children in. Prioritizing church, serving others, inviting people over, welcoming all people in our home are part of our future plans. Being a huge part of our children's lives and having their friends over is a main priority of mine. May our new home be used for God's Glory and His purposes.
"God is building a home. He's using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he's using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day—a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home."
Ephesians 2:20-21 (The Message)
