3 and a Half!

It seems like yesterday that Parker turned 2 1/2.  He was a mess and still is in many ways!  :)

Here he is blowing 3 candles out on his 3rd birthday. We had a family celebration at Nana and Papa's house.  It was just us, since Nana and Papa were in Mexico at the time.
He constantly asks me when his birthday is and loves going to birthday parties for his friends!

Parker has grown up a lot since he turned 3.  He has always talked a lot, but he has a hard time with certain sounds like f, A, V.... He has come a long way! Instead of calling his baby sister Eba, he now calls her Aba.  I absolutely LOVE having a boy.  God knew that we needed a sweet boy, and He blessed us with Parker!

He makes us laugh, keeps us entertained, has such a sweet and loving personality, even though he can be rough and tough.  He is very smart and has been remembering things so well lately.  He tells me about his day at school and if his teacher sang a new song or read a certain book, etc.  He loves school, but he also loves being at home.  Even though he is super active, he has been able to watch movies or TV for a while now, and he loves for us to read to him.  We can finally go out to eat with our wild boy and he does pretty well.  He is not a big fan of coloring, and we aren't even sure if he is left or right handed.  He uses both!  He can also hit the ball or throw the ball both ways and has a really great arm.  Maybe he'll be a switch hitter when he starts t-ball!  He just now knows that his name starts with P, but he really has no interest in letters or sounds.  Quite different from his big sister at this age, but that's okay!

He has been playing a lot with his baby sister.  It's very cute to see their special bond!  He is a terrific big brother, but can be a very pesky little brother to Ellie!  He adores both sisters so much and LOVES all of his grandparents.  He talks about all of them all the time and wants to go to their houses all the time!  In fact, Parker knows no stranger.  He is so quick to make friends wherever we go.  Right now, he is in an "all about Daddy" stage and that's okay too.  I've been reading Bringing up Boys by Dr. James Dobson and that's exactly what happens with boys at this age.

We love you Parker and can't wait to see what kind of man you will become!  We pray that you will continue to love God, continue to love people, and continue to live life to the fullest!  You are a special boy and your family adores you!  We can't imagine how boring our lives would be without you!
